Holburne Museum gets dressed up for its re-opening

Anna Glasbrook - Holburne Museum gets dressed up for its re-opening

For the Holburne Museums' re-opening by Sir Peter Blake, I was commissioned to create a dramatic visual event as an alternative to the standard ribbon-cutting.

I made a 'corset' for the portico of the museum with a wrapping of purple fabric, ‘zipped’ up the middle in the simple but effective style used on saddle bags for camels in Asia and North Africa.

Instead of cutting a red ribbon, one pull unzipped the ‘corset’ creating a dramatic visual effect for the press.
